What is the theme of 2019 International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers?

International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers was celebrated on May 29. This day was adopted by the UN General Assembly in its resolution 57/129. The theme for this year' is "Protecting Civilians, Protecting Peace". The day was first celebrated on May 29, 1948 to pay tribute to the 3700 uniformed and civil personnel who lost their lives upholding peace.
