Women's Equality Day is celebrated on August 26, 2019. It commemorates the passage of the 19th Amendment in the United States of America (USA) Constitution by US Congress in 1920 that provides equal rights to women, including the right to vote. It is an annual event in the US. The amendment for the same was first introduced in 1878. The colour for Women's Equality Day is purple.
