When is the International Day of Older Persons celebrated in the world

The United Nations took the decision on 14 December 1990 to honor the contribution of senior citizens by the society. On this day, respect and consideration of senior citizens and elders is done. This year, The Journey to Age Equality has been the theme of International Day of Aging. The 2011 census in India stated that the number of old people in the country will soon cross 10 crores.
