Which South American country has recently announced to cease membership of OPEC

Ecuador, the South American country, will split from the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) in early January 2020. It has been announced by Ecuador's Ministry of Energy. According to the ministry, the government has decided to terminate OPEC membership from 01 January 2020. Ecuador joined OPEC in 1973 but opted out of OPEC in 1992 due to refusal to increase product share. But it joined OPEC again in 2007. Qatar relinquished OPEC membership on 1 January 2019.
