The Central government has formed a panel headed by the Cabinet Secretary (Rajiv Gauba, IAS, since 30 august 2019) to suggest measures to mitigate financial stress in the sector. The move comes after the Supreme Court ordered telecom companies to pay Rs.1.42 trillion in past statutory dues.
