The Ministry of Shipping flagged off a landmark container Congo consignment for the first time on the waterway from Haldia Dock Complex (National Waterway - 1) to Pandu, Guwahati (National Waterway - 2). National Waterway - 2 lies between the Sadia-Dhubri regions of Assam.
