Which stage of development is called as 'gang age'?

The years between 7 to 11 years is"termed as late childhood and pre-adolescent's stage. During this age a child looks outward and his focus shifts from family to friends and buddies. It is also called the 'gang age'. Freud called it the 'latency period'.
